The Panthers had worn out the natural turf field at their high school stadium. The track’s cinder surface was not level and the field event areas were in poor shape. The David Volz Design team provided the design and engineering services for the refurbishment of the school stadium. The new infilled (sand and rubber) synthetic turf field was ready for play by the start of the 2004/2005 football and soccer season. A fast-track schedule was required in order to meet the game date for the pre-season challenge from an out-of-state team. The all weather track was seal coated and painted for track meets. The field event areas are state-of-the-art CIF facilities, featuring shot put, long jump, triple jump and pole vault. The construction cost for these renovations amounted to $1.7 million.
